Vanishing Photos. Disappearing Photos.

I went to send friends and family some of my photos at the end of the day and I can't find many of the photos I've taken during the day. 🤦‍♂️ They've vanished. This is the second day I have noticed this is happening.

They always appeared in IOS 17's photo app. Now I have the dreadful IOS 18 OS it seems they don't. (It also has a myriad of other frustrating bugs, so I am going to erase and reinstall the "OS").

I am not sure if this is connected to the issue here: Lost some of my photos / mine appearing … - Apple Community and other unresolved issues like not being able to access and see all my photos in one certain named icloud photo folder, both on the phone and Macbook (sometimes if I am lucky they appear most days not).

If anyone can explain why both these faults are happening:

Missing photos.

Unable to see my 130+ photos in a named icloud folder because it says only 15 are available... I'd be very grateful as I'd prefer to be able to actually keep the memories of this holiday!

As a point of fact my experience as an Apple consumer for the last few frustrating years (Apple veteran of 24 yrs) appears to just get worse with each "update." Apple s/ware nowadays is unreliable, buggy and bloated. I am going back to Android.
