IPod Nano 3g charging

When I plug in my iPod nano, it shows no signs of charging. There's no lightning bolt on the battery symbol and the battery bar does not increase. But when I plug it into my computer on Itunes, the ipod shows a full battery with the lightning bolt on the screen and my mac states the same. Is it actually charging and on full battery?

( I've had no problems otherwise and the iPod turns on completely fine. But I worry that if the battery completely goes out, I won't be able to charge it again.)

Brand new Ipod Nano Gen 7 not holding charge & constant reset Hi, We just gifted our daughter a brand new ipod nano gen 7. We plugged it in and left it charging for a few hours and shows 100% battery. We are able to get it through the set up process while it is plugged in (charging). However, if we unplug it, it automatically dies (doesn’t hold the charge). When we plug it back in, it powers back on, shows 100% battery (while plugged) but it requires to be set up again (language, date, time, etc). This keeps on happening over and over again every time we unplug and replug it in. How do I solve for this? Being able to use the ipod only while plugged in is NOT a solution to this problem. We need to be able to use it without being plugged in. We bought this ipod nano a number of years ago and never used it. We didn’t even get it out of the box til today. Help, please!
