Why does my iPhone 13 Pro Max charger smells burnt and heats up while charging?

Actually i am in doubt that my charger is damaged or not basically i have iphone 13 pro max which i bought last December and the battery health is on 89 after using 2 month it decrease to 88 there would be so many factors that might the previous owner use so much or i use so much but after is using again one month it decrease to 87 when i charge my mobile the charger heat up and it smell like something burnet inside the charger I don't face any kind of problem like this actually i am new to apple previously i use Android so can someone tell me that their charger smell like burn or not
