Struggling to access files in icloud.

Hello community , new to this as Im not even familair with iCloud. Im using icloud for windows. Of late I cannot access these files and even with fixed LAN connection this does not seem to help. I switched off Icloud drive , restared and tried switching it back on but now i received this message " Folder cannot conatain iCloud files , please choose a different folder. All my othe files are under this folder and I do not understand how to navigate this or to get to restore all my data. How is this possible ? Please assisst !
