I agree with @jeffreythefrog, and I would add that you probably do not want to buy the MBA with the basic 256 GB of storage. Very many folks discover too late that 256 GB is not much. Heck, you can buy a phone with more storage than that. In my book the very minimum storage you want to buy is 512 GB. As with the RAM, the storage capacity cannot be upgraded after purchase so buy what you can afford. The only option to buying more now is to add external storage later.

I would recommend getting the most RAM that fits in your budget, as it cannot be increased at all after purchase. but for most person's needs, the base amount of RAM is adequate.
