If the battery health is 64% it is time for you to let your watches battery be replaced, if that is still worth it. For example, if this s about a watch series 3, you might not want to invest money in that one due to its age
Thanks. Perhaps it’s time for a new watch. Should I wait for the next iteration or just get the current one. In other words, will the upcoming one have major differences or not? I use the watch mostly to track health and fitness?

No one here in this user-to-user forum would know what features the next watch will have.
The question you need to ask is, how badly do you need a new watch right now? If you're able to and comfortable with using the current watch until at least late September, you could think about waiting. If you need a new watch now because the current one isn't usable and you don't want to be without a watch, buy the current one.
It is axiomatic that the moment you buy a piece of technology, something newer, shinier and cheaper will be released.
