My camera isn’t working at 1x and 2x zoom for both photos and video. It switches to a pink screen when trying to capture images at 1x and 2x zoom, though it sometimes works. I’ve tried resetting settings, a factory reset, and updating iOS, but the issue persists. The camera only works well between 0.5x and 0.9x zoom.
Any suggestion on how to fix it?

Hello there, this appears to be a hardware related issue to the main camera of Iphone 16. In 0.5 and 0.9x, the phone is using its ultrawide camera. Starting from 1x however, it uses the main camera.
Therefore, it is highly suggested you go to a nearby apple service center to seek help. Official Apple Support

Following your troubleshooting it does appear to be a hardware problem.
Have it looked at https://support.apple.com
Without Applecare+ the repair price will be almost the cost of a new phone.
