Copy old wedding dvd with menu

Hi - I have an old DVD of a wedding from a professional videographer from about 25 years ago - is there a way to copy it and keep the menus ? I am not sure if he/she put any software block (I don't know what the practice was at the time ).

Thanks.

It may have been. Sadly such direction could potentially be used to violate existing copyright laws. There are places that specialize in converting videos to newer data formats. Mostly in major cities.

And the DVDs being 25 years old may already be wearing out. Hopefully not, and you can get one of those places to help you recover it.

If you can identify the videographer, contact them to see if they can make a new DVD. Or at least give you permission to copy it or have it copied.

A professional videographer who made a video for hire would have copyright to the video. But it would have been unusual for them to copy-protect the DVD although it's possible.
