I have an IPhone 8 and my son texted me a photo that I would like to use as his wallpaper when he calls. How do I do this?
I tried going to his contact on my phone, but I couldn't find where to change i
his wallpaper, only sounds for when he calls.

I believe what you want to do is change the photo you see when he calls you.
Go to the Contact App
Tap your son's contact
Tap Edit at the top
At the top is Add Photo - Tap that
Choose the photo you want to use as his contact poster when he calls you
By wallpaper probably you mean his photo.
