Why was my Apple order cancelled without notice?

I placed an order today to purchase Macbook pro m4 and in the evening I see order is cancelled without any reason. what could be possible reason? this is my first ever apple purchase and a disappointing experience.

Hello dear members, I could speak to sales specialist and here is the excerpt from the conversation.


Me: Ok. But why? I didn't cancel it or asked for it.

Apple agent: For the reason of cancellation as I can check, the backend team was not able to verify some of your payment details and hence the order got cancelled. Please confirm, did you receive any email from Apple regarding details verification?


Me: No, I did not receive any verification email.


There is no clear answer that what details they are looking for.

Hello dear users and members, I spoke to the support on phone and they have no idea why the order got cancelled. They can't even reinstate nor they can share me reference number of any refund. The order summary page also modified and now it says total paid is 0.00. but I have confirmation of order placement on my email. This is the only confirmation I have from Apple.

What can I do to not repeat this scenario if I place another order? The support simply says just try to place another order. I mean how on earth they think I have unlimited credit available with me.

Hello everyone,


Finally I could get back my money after lot of hassle with Apple support. But they could never explain me what went wrong with the order placement and why it got cancelled. As suggested, I took their help step by step to place a new order but I realized it is what I had done previously. Upon asking if this to support, they could not give me enough confidence to place a new order again in exactly same fashion. Hence, I'm dropping this idea to buy my first ever apple product.
