Shift Key constantly being pressed after 5 minutes of usage

I'm using a 2017 mac book air and for the past month the keyboard works

fine for the first 5 minutes but then later just keeps ghost pressing

the shift key it even happens if I'm using an external keyboard I tried

switching to windows and even Ubuntu Linux but the keyboard just keeps

pressing the shift key after 5 minutes any ideas how to fix it?

This is a hardware problem that you probably won't be able to fix yourself.

This may be a symptom of a battery that is swelling or some other temperature related issue.

Have the computer evaluated for service.
