Will Mac mini M4 support 3 display connected at once?

We are looking to upgrade our mac mini, right now we have the M2 chip and we're looking into upgrading to the mac mini m4 chip and the biggest question I keep getting and I'm asking myself this too is that:

can we have 3 display connect in mac mini m4 chip with these areas:

2 on. USB-C to HDMI going to our TVs (even in the future we are looking into getting more tv monitors for our church)

plus our main HP monitor to at least to the HDMI port?????

that is the BIGGEST question that I need to answer I tried to do this on the M2 chip of the mac mini and we're not getting nothing with it but I just think the mac mini m2 chip won't recognize 3 display ports right now we have it completely different set up but I would LOVE to have it how I said above.

please get back to me ASAP we are looking into getting this new upgrade by our church campmeeting in a few weeks and I would LOVE to get everything set up and ready to go before the campmeeting begins on Wednesday.

get back to ASAP thank you!

M4 MacMini has HDMI. You do not need to get adapter for that - however, please make sure the selection of HDMI cable (premium quality and not-too-long preferable).

Yes, "3 monitors" is supported: please refer to Apple's website:

The M2 Mac mini supports 2 displays.

Only the M2 Pro model supports 3 displays.

see "Display Support' at Mac mini (2023) - Tech Specs - Apple Support

The latest M4 Mac mini supports 3 displays.

see "Display Support" at > Mac mini (2024) - Tech Specs - Apple Support

However as Sam points out, these new Mac mini's are picky do not do well using long cheap HDMI cables.

You may get away with 1080p TV's on somewhat longer HDMI cables, but anything above 1080p will require short High Speed Certified HDMI cables. HDMI Boosters maybe an option for long runs to 1080p TVs, but I personally have not tested any with the latest Mac Mini's.

The only way to full guaranty success, is to buy an M4 Mac mini and test it in your setting.

Then if it doesn't work out, return it within the 14 day no questions asked window.

The M4 and M4 Pro Mac minis have three USB-C (DIsplayPort, Thunderbolt) ports, and a HDMI port, and both support up to three displays, which can potentially all be USB-C or Thunderbolt ones.

If you examine display specifications closely, you will see that Mac minis with M4 Pro chips have better ones. I could be mistaken, but the resolution limitations on the last display on a Mac mini which has just a plain M4 chip might translate into fewer Retina scaling options for a third 4K display.

Mac minis with plain M2 chips have two USB-C (DisplayPort, Thunderbolt) ports and a HDMI port and support a maximum of two displays. Both can be USB-C or Thunderbolt displays, but in that case you must leave the Mac mini's HDMI port unused. You cannot cheat and use it, too, to drive a total of three displays.

Mac minis with M2 Pro chips have four USB-C (DisplayPort, Thunderbolt) ports and a HDMI port and support a maximum of three displays. These Mac minis cannot drive three USB-C or Thunderbolt displays. If you want to attach three displays, you must attach two via USB-C or Thunderbolt, and one via HDMI.
