The approval button in the Privacy & Security System Settings will only be there for a short time. Reboot the Mac and immediately go to the Privacy & Security System Settings to approve it.

I saw a couple of other users mention that external drives worked better when they were connected to a USB3 hub than directly to the computer. Since they seem to work "better" connected to your display, then try a real hub. I have never trusted the USB ports on any display.

The cables I'm using are the same T3 cables that came with the G-RAID devices and I've been using them on my 2017 iMac for a couple of years without trouble.

Many manufacturer's actually supply very poor quality cables with their products. Get a real good quality cable. Many people find their accessory issues disappear when using good quality cables.

First step is making sure the current drive layout for this external drive.

Disconnect all other external drives from the computer.

Then run the following command from the Terminal app so we can check out the exact drive layout for this external drive & post the results:

diskutil  list  external

Do you know what file system was being used on this G-RAID drive?

Someone on here, or somewhere else, suggested using the port on my Studio Display and that worked. Not that it's a solution, but it worked.

Yes, same here. That is just another way to open an app. The DEXT Driver Installer app opens fine but hangs up with this waiting for approval thing. I'm not actually sure the G-RAID DEXT Driver Installer is even necessary.

Did you ever fix this? I'm having the same problem. Drive shows up no problem on my laptop which I haven't updated to Sequoia. I can see the driver in the right place, but if you open it, it says it needs security permission. But it's not showing up in the security menu and is already installed. Any help would be appreciated!

Quit the app, then right click on it and choose Open…

This did nothing except open the app, and then give me the same message about needing security permission.
