HELP! I can't install Canon g2411 printer to my Mac 15.3.1 Sequoia

Dear community,

I have a Canon printer G2411, but it seems is not supported by Mac 15.3.1 Sequoia.

Is there any software I can download so I can use it? Gunprinter I have read is not for the Sequoia I have.

Thanks in advance

iMac 24″, macOS 15.3

Buy a device that is listed in Apple's built-in AirPrint support, (or advertises AirPrint support in its marketing literature) so you are never again dependent on vendor printer drivers. The device that you choose should be networkable via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection.

The Canon PIXMA G2411 was designed to only work with Windows 7 through Windows 11. No drivers were ever made by Canon for any version of macOS and without that driver support, the printer will not work on macOS.

It may not work at all, but if nothing else helps, you could perhaps check whether a Mac printer driver for another similar printer model (for example, PIXMA G2000 or G2400) can be used.

As always, before testing anything, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files.

Also, be careful. There are several dubious "support" sites on the Internet, often with misleading names. Only download from an official web site of a printer manufacturer, or from another trustworthy source (such as Apple).
