Is a 96% battery health normal for an iPhone 15 Pro?

I bought an iPhone 15 Pro in October 2024, and its battery health was perfect until February. In February, it decreased by 1 percent, but suddenly, in March, it dropped to 69% within a week. I always maintained a charging range of 20–80 percent. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Defective battery. It happens. Apple should replace the battery at no charge since it fell below 80% in the first year.

The battery in the iPhone 15 is designed to go 1,000 Charge Cycles before it reaches 80% Maximum Capacity.

That works out to an average of about 1% for every 50 Charge Cycles.

222 Charge Cycles divided by 50 = 4.44%

So, your battery should be in the 95-96% range at this point. Looks like your battery is right on schedule. Check it again in six months or so. You will drive yourself crazy if you are checking the battery all the time. Some months it will not decline at all, then maybe decline 2% the following month. So, the decline is not linear or exact.

At 500 Charge Cycles, the battery should be at about 90%. Replace the battery when it is down to 80% Max Capacity.
