My cable stopped working after my iMac was in the original box for 4 months. It is not sold in the official Apple store. I do not understand how this is possible :( Maybe it is possible to order it through the support service? Has anyone managed to buy it (the original) somewhere?

Which exact model is your iMac? There are a number of 24" iMac models, starting in 2021. All of them came with a 143W power adapter & a 2m power cable.
