lost iphone - voicemail greeting still active

I lost my iphone several days ago, but looked up its last location with FindMy a day after I'd lost it, and the last location was my apartment bldg address at 7:30pm the day I lost it. Of course FindMy wouldn't show the last location 2 days later (flat battery no doubt).

I put the phone in Lost Mode, and have been turning things inside out for the past 5 days. It's also possible I left the phone outside, on the windowsill.

My bank messaged that the card numbers in my apple wallet can't be used, presumably due to the lost mode status. But I'm confused by the fact that the FindMy app indicated that the iphone would go into lost mode "when it is online again." The battery would have been flat shortly after I saw the phone's last location in the FindMy app.

My question is this:

Does the fact that when I call my phone number; the call goes to Voicemail; and I hear my personal voicemail greeting. indicate that my phone hasn't been stolen?

Secure your Info:

If concerned for device and account access, then (A)verify your devices, and (B)modify your credentials. Open a new eMail address and use that for your Apple ID.

1. Verify your Devices:

Verify that all devices are logged in to your account, by using this link: Check your Apple ID Device List to See where you're Signed in - Apple Support

then...

2. Modify your Credentials:

Having been stollen, someone lily has your credentials. So, by all means, modifying them.

Troubleshooting a Lost iPhone:

A. Send Out a Message to Fellow Tenants:

If the call goes to voice mail, then it may have been erased with Find My. If this is showing at your apartment, then ask the landlord if they would be fond enough to send out a notification message to a tenants, to report if it has been found.

B. For Find My:

To learn how Find My works, go here: Use the Find My App to Locate a Missing Device or Item - Apple Support

C. Backtrack your Locations:

If you were at a retail store or local cafe', then stop by and see if if was placed aside by the store manager. You never know.

D. Text the iPhone a Message:

If you cannot find this, then text the iPhone, sending it a messages asking whomever finds it to contact you. Perhaps, have them eMail you, putting a particular title in it (so that you recognize the eMail. If you go to pick it up from an individual, then have someone there with you, probably meeting them at a public, safe location, both for safety purposes.

E. If you think you will never get this back, then contact your Carrier, requesting that they cancel the SIM or eSIM card n it.
