m4 mac mini third party ssd replacements

I’ve been reading about a few different vendors selling SSD upgrades for the m4 mini. The articles and videos make it sound like it’s easy, but I have my doubts. Certainly the cost savings is significant but the voided warranty is a concern. Back when memory and drives could be user upgraded I did it in every Mac I’ve ever owned.

Has anyone here actually tried this? Would you recommend it to others?

If more storage space is required, then it is much wiser to just use an external SSD.

No I would not recommend upgrading until:

1) the 1 year and/or Apple Care warranty has expired.

2) there are more storage providers, guides and success stories.
