How to recover a missing folder with three years of work files on MacBook Air?

Yesterday in the evening everything was fine, but today in the morning I opened my MacBookAir and there was no FOLDER on my desktop. I checked everything, including deleted files, I cloud, I cloud drive, whatever, but there is no this folder, can I somehow recover it from somewhere and how, please, help, there was all my working files for the past three years.
