Motherboard of a very well kept MacBook Air M2 premium broken after barely 2 years
My Mackbook Air M2 bought late Nov 2022, which has not been used that intensively since before one year point, but did have some restart and delayed starting a couple of times, most likely also during the first year, needs the motherboard replaced. There is no signs of damage to either part of the Mac, I am utterly careful with my devices, I bought it in Europe, and it broke barely 2 months after the warranty expire date. However, given the circumstances, it was pretty much a latent problem, meaning bad quality product. Apple has told me to insist with a store I have been after for 2 months now, kind the irony of the 2 months mark. However, since I follow the advice posted in apple website and support app, I really did not think much of those issues and thought it was software problem, as it is stated if one can troubleshoot and the Mac starts by itself. No warning whatsoever, no advice to take it to be checked ASAP, as it might indicate a defective motherboard, so now I have to pay for the repair. Beyond unfair, and should actually be against the law, since it is misleading and have caused all this stress. I also did not keep record of this, you know, it is my personal Mac, no a shared Mac, so I know all about it. I even avoided updating so much, because I got the impression it was related to the couple times that happened. Does anyone know what alternatives do I have? And apple, for god sake, update your support sites, both with and without appleID access, people should et it check ASAP, preferable within the one year period. That is your responsibility, not trying to get it beyond that point. Not only the quality has dropped so much, also that has to get some people in this problem. Anyone else?
