Can't install a mouse on a 2024. M3 MacBook Air

I van't find any way to connect a mouse via blue tooth or a wireless mouse with a C to Usb dongle.

MacBook Air - how to allow external USB mouse I used an external keyboard and mouse (not Magic items) with my MacBook Pro, and now wanted to do the same with my MacBook Air (M2). Sometimes they work with the Air, sometimes a window pops up re using mouse. Where in the Air controls can I permit use of the external (USB) mouse and keyboard?

If you have a wireless mouse you should not need an adapter. Follow manufacture's instructions and open bluetooth preference pane and pair the mouse. If that fails then connect using an adapter but if no connection flip the adapter and see if it connects.
