How do I recover lost playlists from Apple Music after a trial subscription?

I started buying CDs in 1990. I took all of those CDs and downloaded them onto Apple. I made playlist from these downloads for years. I signed up for Apple Music for a three month trial didn’t keep it and they’ve wiped out all of my playlists. They don’t own those playlist do they?

Can I recover my Playlists after unsubscribing? About 2 years ago I was a big apple music listener but traveled to South America for 2 years, canceled my subscription, and did not have access to apple music at that time. I returned about a week ago and have already resubscribed to apple music but none of my playlists or songs from before appear in my apple music library. Will they come back and are just synchronizing or something? Is there a way to recover them if not? Thank you for your time.
