It seems an attack of PIRRIT

My question:

  1. is there any action required?
  2. do I have to find and remove PIRRIT?
  3. what is the difference between 'alert' and 'warning'?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.7

1) No

2) No

3)

Alert means there is a problem and XProtect Remediator has found a potential infection

Warning means that something went wrong - in this case if you look at the UnifiedlOg you will most likely see 'Plugin failed' for the Pirrit detection module in XProtect.

This seems to be happening recently when there's other security software installed on the Mac
