How can I stop my iPhone from sending audio to Apple TV via Remote app?

When you use the iPhone Remote app to control your apple TV, that's it, the iPhone is married to the Apple TV. So if you are out in the garage and want to just play a pod cast while you do work out there, the iPhone sends the audio to the Apple TV, and your wife screams at you, "what are you doing?".

If you click on the Icon for the Airplay THERE IS NOT CHOICE FOR LOCAL IPHONE SPEAKER, PERIOD. I have to turn off wifi and blue tooth and start over. Not a Big Problem, but........someone wrote the code.......

I want to be able to COMPLETELY DISABLE Airplay on my iPhone for CONTENT from the Phone so it does not got to the Apple TV unless I SPECIFICALLY TELL IT TO, but still use the Remote App to control the Apple TV.

Can you fix this BUG?

iPhone: Settings﹥General﹥AirPlay & Continuity﹥Automatically AirPlay﹥

  • Never
  • Ask
  • Automatic (based on previous regular use per app)

This is unrelated to the software remote.
