Epson EB-X41 won't connect with my MacBook Air 2020 M1

I have a macbook Air 2020, an epson ebx41 projector with a minidisplay cable. I purchased a USB-C to minidisplay converter and used it to connect the projector to the Mac, but the Mac simply refuses to recognise the projector. The MD cable works fine with an older Macbook Pro that I own (2012). Not sure why it won't work with the Macbook Air. Please help.

It appears that the USB-C to Mini DisplayPort adapter may not be fully compatible with your MacBook Air. Try a different adapter or check for any macOS updates that may help with external displays. Also, make sure your projector is on the correct input. If that doesn't work, try a different cable or adapter to see if that resolves the issue.
