Trash stopped working on my MacBook Air's user account

I tried removing a program from my Macbook using terminal. I guess instead of trashing the program, i broke my trashbin.

I dont remember the exact command but it was something in the lines of rm -f ((something)) and after this the Trashbin stopped working.

now when i try to trash a program or anything really, i get two prompts telling me .trash Is not working and needs to he downloaded.

But the icon is there, i can open the Trashbin, just cant use it for trashing. Weird. However im pretty sure i broke it. And on another user on the same macbook the trashbin does work. Just not on my main user account.

Getting Trash to Operate Again As it Should:

Reinstall the macOS:

Nothing would be deleted. It's just that items that have become corrupted or deleted, would be replaced or reinstalled back to where they should be, respectively. Go Here: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple SupportImportant: Be certain to create a backup of your Mac prior to all of this. That way, you can have something to restore from the Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall.
