How to optimize iPhone 16 Pro battery life?

I recently bought an iPhone 16 Pro...my first iPhone since the 6.

I have been an Android user since (which i hope no one is put off) but i decided to jump ship due to the iPhone's stable OS ( in most cases), fast updates and their build quality.

I wanted to ask if it is true: that iOS devices takes it's time to learn your usage and it takes time for the battery to be fully optimized and stable?

Now, i understand that the "sweet spot" for battery charging is between 70-90%. Would you all agree?

I can't speak for others, but "no" from me.

My opinion......based on trying Charge Limits for a few months.....I think they are more of a gimmick than anything else. Somehow, users got by just fine for 15+ years without Charge Limits. Now, with Charge Limits, you are forced into charging the battery more often. That has to count as more wear and tear. And.....the battery is still going to charge to 100% "occasionally" anyway. The only real question on that one is how often "occasionally" might be.

I agree with Bob Timmons on this. Just set your iPhone to Optimized charging and charge your phone all night and every night. That way it will learn your charging behavior and you will have a phone that is ready for you with a full charge every morning.

Don't get caught up in micro-managing your battery charging. Enjoy your phone, it should not be a burden or cause you any anxiety about its charge level.
