insert images and save file in keynote

Hello,

I'm having troubles with Keynote as it's not fully functioning. I've updated to the latest versions (both Keynote and system Software) but keep facing the same issues, namely:

1. Open a file:

“File name.key” can’t be opened right now.

Operation not permitted.

2. Saving a file:

“Filename.key” couldn't be saved as "Filename_B.key be opened right now.You don't have permission.

(To clarify I can read and write this file, suposately).

3. Insert image:

"image.jpg"couldn't be inserted

How can I solve this? Appreciate all help.

Thank you

Lots of possibilities here, and not enough information.

Does the above happen on every Keynote or image file? or specific ones? (could be a problem with this specific file)

Does it happen with new files? (similar to above)

Do any other applications exhibit problems opening or saving files? (could indicate a disk issue)

Is your disk full? Keynote can use a lot of temporary disk space, and a full disk could exhibit these kinds of problems.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. Answers bellow:

Q: Does the above happen on every Keynote or image file? or specific ones? (could be a problem with this specific file)

A: it happens on every Keynote image (regardless of format: png, jpg…)

Q: Does it happen with new files? (similar to above)

A: Unfortunately yes, with new files too.

Q: Do any other applications exhibit problems opening or saving files? (could indicate a disk issue)

A: Disk has space and other applications work fine, with no issues. (Indesign, photoshop, powerpoint, word, pages…all good)

I really don’t understand the issue and it makes it so difficult to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks
