I'm trying to add a Kyocera Ecosys FS 6525MPF to my macbook pro running MacOS 15.3

Im trying to add a network printer (as in title). I've downloaded the relevant software/drivers from the manufacturer website, however they don't seem to work as Apple blocks the install. Is there another way I might be able to add this printer and have it work?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.3

A popup witha amessage stating that the install cannot proceed because Apple cannot check the software for malware. Two buttons below that, “Done” and “Move to Trash”.

I eventually gave up and moved to trash. Flash drive, dropped the file into it and printed the docs that way.

It looks like a really old printer. Probably powered by coal steam engine somewhere considering it took 2 and a half hours to print 7 double-sided, 100 page documents. Definitely won’t be doing that again in a hurry. I’ll just cross fingers there’s a printing shop of some sort in Uganda. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I appreciate the response nonetheless.

the download of the drivers DIRECTLY from Kyocera web site, last updated in August 2024, produced a zip file.

double-click to unzip produced a folder.

double click to open showed a .dmg.

double-click produced an Installer.

agree to terms and it installed on My Mac running Ventura without issue.

so they are identified developers.

what are your download settings? have you accidentally set to Mac App store only?

I downloaded the drivers from

A different result than what you sent.

Confirmed that my settings are for both App Store & Known Developers. Weird that the global site you downloaded from kicked up a block.

I’ll definitely install from your find tomorrow morning and see what the result is.

I appreciate the assist.
