Bluetooth devices in a classroom keep trying to attach to my Bluetooth device

I use a Bluetooth speaker that sends my teachers voice to my hearing aids. Recently it keeps trying to add other devices in the classroom. Is there a setting that stops this? I use my IPhone to connect to the speaker. When I select a device and say forget…it doesn’t do that and cuts off my Bluetooth connection so I can’t hear my teacher
