On my Roku tv on AppleTV+ I bought the VOST version of supernatural season one today because I like to watch my shows with subtitles on them however the title of the episodes and the subtitles are in French but everything else is English, and when I tried to change the language or turn the subtitles off it doesn’t do anything!
what can I do to fix this or is it even fixable?

That is what VOST means here: ‘version originale sous-titrée’ — original version (here: English audio) with French (hard) subtitles.

Unfortunately, this seems to be how TV shows on the iTunes Store are sold in countries with French as (one of) the main language(s). You have to pick from the language editions that are offered. There is no choice in audio languages or subtitle languages after making your purchase. Not sure why the language flexibility for movies isn’t used for TV shows.
