How can I prevent Mac Studio M1 from entering Airplane Mode and disabling Wi-Fi?

I woke up my Mac Studio, and the wireless not only didn't work, but things were grayed out and I couldn't turn the wifi back on. When I put it to sleep for the night I always turn off wifi. I looked up various possible solutions on the internet (via my iPad, which is wifi only and uses the same network}, and when it was suggested that I put the Mac in recovery mode, I was able to get on wifi, so I knew the internal modem was okay. Nothing helped until I saw that my wifi was shut down because the Mac Studio had gone into "airplane" mode. What the heck? Why does a desktop need an "airplane" mode?

The airplane mode was on in both of my user accounts, my regular one and my administrator account

Is there a way to keep this from happening in the future? It was annoying.
