Screen saver keyboard shortcut (similar to Windows-L on a WinTel)

Good day,

Is there a function that I can use to allow a "Clover-L" function to activate the screen saver? This would be identical to the "Windows-L" function on a WinTel.

I have seen a few pages on how to do this, but most are very old and their instructions no longer apply.

Currently, I an using Sequoia 15.4 on a 2023 MBP.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a simple way to make that work (but beware that the shortcut Command-L is used in some applications, and this may override it - for example, you can rotate left an image using Comman-L in Preview, or in Finder Quicklook).

Start the Shortcuts application.

Add a shortcut "Run Shell Script", and paste the text as shown.

Activate the checkbox for "Use as Quick Action", which adds the top part ("Receive...") automatically. Leave it as is.

Click on "Add keyboard shortcut" and press Command-L.

In the end you get this:
