Can listening to purchased music on iPhone contribute towards streams?

If I buy a song on iTunes, and then listen to it on Apple Music in my phone, is there a way for those listens to count towards an artist’s plays/streams? Basically so that they get supported 1) by the purchase and 2) by streaming royalties? I know how to do this on desktop but what about iPhone?

They get supported with the purchase of the song, but I do not see where they get any analytic data showing how often that purchased song was played or additional royalties from playing the purchased song. They do get analytic data and royalties for how often it is streamed which is not the same as a play count for a purchased song that can be done offline without an Apple Music subscription.

The difference seems to be, are you playing the downloaded song from your Library, or are you streaming the song from the Apple Music platform where it is being streamed, and requires the subscription to Apple Music? For streaming royalties to be paid to the artist, you would need an Apple Music subscription.

Here is the analytic data that is used to measure that the artists sees.

I purchase the song from iTunes and I listen to it from Apple Music. On a desktop it’s possible to change what file gets used in Apple Music so that it’s the file that counts towards streaming; however I want to know how to make my streams count towards an artist’s royalties when using Apple Music on my phone, because that’s primarily where I listen to music. Is it as simple as now downloading the song when I purchase it from iTunes? Or is it just not possible to do this (buy and also have streams support royalties) on a phone?
