As noted, there is no way to do that. Also, keep in mind that if you send out a group message, everyone in the group can see the phone number of everyone else and can respond to the message.
The limit that H1290 mentioned depends on a number of things. If the group includes people who don't use iMessage, it gets sent as an SMS/RCS and your carrier determines the limit. If everyone uses iMessages, Apple does. In either case, I don't think it's more than about 20.
If Apple or your carrier think you are sending spam messages, they may suspend your service. You need to look for an app or service that can do this. But first, think very hard about whether everyone you know really needs the same message.

Back when dinosaurs roamed the streets.
There is no way to do that except to add them one by one.
How many contacts? If all have iPhones the limit for iMessage is 31. If any have android phones the limit is determined by each carrier and will vary, but it will be the limit defined by the most restrictive carrier.
“Messages" is not a good way to send mass messages.

Even that I wouldn't send to everyone in my contact list. The plumber whose number my friend gave me but I've never called, for example. Or the landline customer service number for my bank. Or the former co-workers whose numbers I haven't gotten around to deleting.
There certainly might be circumstances. I didn't say they shouldn't do it, merely that they should consider it carefully before proceeding. And they definitley shouldn't do it in a group text where they are sharing other peoples' numbers and subjecting them to replies from people they might not know (or want to know).

What Carol is saying is put them all in a group. Then message them. However there are limits to how many people you can have in an MMS group, iMessage group, etc. but I do not know them off hand.

Yeah I think I recall. You certainly have good points.
