Could multiple IP addresses for account logins be linked to fraud?

Due to a fraudulent online charge to Target, have recently obtained from Apple a document with all my Apple logins etc. They provided the dates and IP addresses associated with each logins. AND There are numerous IP addresses, From all over the state of Michigan, about 8 different cities! None of which I live. I only have THIS iPhone and an Apple Watch that I barely use. So it’s not like I would have multiple IPs for multiple devices. Help. I think someone has access to my Apple ID. How can I find out?? Thanks in advance!

IP addresses are assigned by your internet service provider. Unless you have paid extra for a static address, the address will change. If your internet service provider is based in Michigan, that's what the addresses might reflect.

I see no reason to change your Apple Account password, especially if you have two-factor authentication enabled.

I agree with @IdrisSeabright, your IP address can move about. When you are at home using wifi on your home broadband hub it probably stays the same for long periods of time. When you are away from home using wifi it will vary depending on what you are connecting to and their internet provider. You can monitor your IP address by opening whatismyipaddress.com. As a test use this with your home wifi then disable wifi and refresh the page to see the IP address allocated by your phone provider when you are using mobile data. When I do this on my iPhone the ip address is 140 miles away.

Keep in mind that if you have iCloud+ Private Relay, or an active VPN, your IP address will change constantly to hide your identity.
