Why doesn't my iPhone 16 Pro Max have the new Siri sidelight after updating to iOS 8.4?

Have you turned on Apple Intelligence, assuming you meet all the qualifications and aren't in China or have an iPhone manufactured for the China market.

Since you’re in Germany, which is in the EU, this might be the problem, Apple has waited to release some of it’s software (specifically Apple Intelligence)to the EU because of some sale law or something like that.

What country are you in? What region and language is your iPhone set to?

OK. You say you bought the phone in Germany, but who in Germany did you buy the phone from? Did you buy it from Apple directly or some other seller? Also, please open Settings App > General > About > Model and see if ends in CH/A. Please report back.
