Hi, my phones been overheating a lot out of nowhere after the last iOS update 18.4, and I removed it from the case, and I leave it near a fan or also I want to put it over an ice pack but I’m afraid that may ruined the battery or the glass, I don’t know what to do, and I use an apple brick and the apple cable!

I have the same issue and had it for several days, iPhone 16 Pro Max gets super hot on iOS 18.4. Does Apple just wants to degrade our batteries so we have to pay for replacements?

It’s normal after a point update. Are you in a country that just got Apple Intelligence? You might be experiencing increased activity while various apps are indexed and synced. Generally, the background processes complete in a few days. It’s normal to have extra heat as a byproduct of the background activity. iPhones are designed to handle the heat and have internal monitoring to prevent damage.
