to login to a Mac, you need the Mac login password, which is different from your Apple-id and password.
Your apple-id password will NOT get you logged in to a Mac routinely, but can be used (ONLY when internet connection is available) on an emergency basis.
I am absolutely using the correct username and password.
As I said, they work on my iPhone and iPad. I can see the MacBookPro on my account through the iPad and the iPhone. I just can’t login through the MacBook Pro to sync the data in the Applications. Specifically the iTunes library and email.
A little more info…the MacBookPro is up and running. But it won’t let me access iTunes or email (at least) because it does not accept my valid AppleId password.
Check that you are using the right username and password. If you forgot your password click the forgot password button. Or visit Iforgot.apple.com
