Custom city abbreviations not working in clock complication on Modular face

As the title says, the Clock (Digital) complication does not properly show custom city abbreviations in the Modular watch face. The custom name shows up properly in the iPhone Watch app, but not on the watch itself.

Only the digital complication is broken; the analog complication shows the correct custom abbreviation. This is not a language issue, as English text abbreviations also do not show up properly.

In my screenshots, the upper left clock should say 真由 instead of the default OSA.

EDIT: This issue was resolved by changing the watch language to another language and then back to English.
