Burn marks on skin from iPhone

ive heard about the new iPhones heating up and you should touch it if it’s hot, but about experiencing burn marks and irritation on the skin just from normal use. Not hot to the touch but the skin gets irritated when holding the phone.

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18

You may an allergy to metal compounds used in the frames of the devices. Nickel is a common allergen and you should see a dermatologist to diagnosis the issue and determine your treatment.

You may want to limit contact with the device or use a glove or other barrier when handling your iPhone.

Jeff Donald makes great points about the components of the iPhone. Also consider that you may be allergic to the materials in any case that you have on the iPhone. If using a case on your phone, I would recommend removing it and consulting the manufacturer for what materials that it contains.
