How do I reset Apple ID password when iPhone verification code is incorrect?

Hi i want to forget my apple id pass but it shows my iphone code is wrong then nothing next happens? help me

My child was playing with my phone,he entered the wrong passcode several times, and my iphone suddenly rebooted and then I noticed that it was erased and stuck on the "activation lock" screen. Now both my iPhone and Apple ID are locked.
