Please perform a Forced Restart. The key is to do it quickly and ignore the Power Off slider that appears midway. If this is a software issue that is causing the lag, this will fix it.

  • Press and quickly release the Volume Up Button
  • Press and quickly release the Volume Down Button
  • Press and hold the Side Button until you see the Apple Logo

Also how much of your iPhone’s system storage are you using out of what? You can check in Settings > General > Software Update. Lag can be a symptom of an almost full storage iPhone. You should always have at least 10 GB of free storage on your iPhone, and the more is better. This is because your iPhone needs free storage as like a working space, to run system processes, store temporary files, app updates, etc.

No help from apple after traveling 150 miles and worse help from 02 , apple cleaned my phone down without backing up all apps and data , I lost everything and stressed me out getting set up again

It isn't Apple job to back up your device, that is something that needs to be done beforehand,

I find it hard to believe that they didn't do a force restart or a restart of your phone to troubleshoot, which is why I asked what they did.
