iPhone 16 Pro Max wireless 18.4 update broke wireless charging

Immediately following the 18.4 update to my iPhone Pro Max, induction charging has broken. I have tried multiple different induction chargers, and none seem to work.

The phone indicates it's in charge mode upon setting it properly on the induction chargers, but no actual charging occurs.

I'm using wired charging at the moment.

Seems like a hardware/firmware bug! I see a lot of others with older phones complaining in the community. Search didn't show any results with 16 Pro Max.

Thanks all.

Since that update, I found that I occasionally need to reset the "Optimize Battery Charging" setting to resolve the issue.

While it is possible it is a software bug, but I've not seen any reports. I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18.4 and I don"t have any issues with any of my wireless chargers. I have a MagSafe, and another type and they both are working.

I suggest you make a Genius Bar appointment and have the device examined by Apple. Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

I have an iPhone 16 pro and it is no longer charging wirelessly after the 18.4.1 upgrade. No other change has been made and my watch is still charging on the Belkin apparatus

i tried shutting phone down and unplugging charger but it still isn’t charging.
