Why does my iPhone 14 default to full volume when I put it on Silent mode?

I have an iphone 14, and everytime I put it on silent mode it forces my volume to max out. I click the volume down button and it just goes back up. The phone also does this weird thing where if I click my volume up, it does puts my phone in silent mode for a split second. Is this just my phone? And if not does anyone have a solution?

If your iPhone 14 defaults to full volume when switching from Silent mode, it may be due to the 'Change with Buttons' setting being enabled.

To address this, navigate to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, and under Ringer and Alerts, toggle off 'Change with Buttons'.

This ensures that the ringer and alert volumes remain consistent, unaffected by the physical volume buttons.

Additionally, manually adjust the Ringer and Alerts slider to your preferred volume level in the same settings menu.

If the issue persists, consider restarting your iPhone or checking for any available iOS updates, as these steps can resolve minor software glitches.

Perhaps see what might be an update for the iOS version

your device is on now, that could contain newer fixes as

that's how to get something missing from update path.

Carefully read through the link above as it contains clues,

likely patches or fixes; those could have a second fix too.
