Previously owned iPads are pinged when I call Apple Support in relation to my iCloud account (bug).

I already talked about this topic last year and finally had the time and called Apple Support (1-800-275-2273) near the beginning of this year. Rakesh, the name of the representative, told me that it is "normal" for an older iPad associated with my iCloud account to be "Pinged" even after the account has been completely removed from the device using the "Erase My Device" feature. He also "walked me through" some steps on putting my iPad into DFU mode. He did a fairly poor job explaining how to put the device in DFU mode as it appears in this article: If you can't update or restore your iPad - Apple Support. For example, he instructed me to hold down the power button for 30 seconds instead of 8 seconds. But, we got to the final destination at any rate.

What I think is strange about the Apple Support phone system robot pinging my previous iPad(s) is that it only affects older iPads I have logged into my iCloud account and owned, not my older iPhone(s)... I would like to know why... If there any tech wizzes or Apple pros that may have any idea, please inform the public as well as myself as I am sure I'm not the only one affected by this occurrence. ✌🏼
