Battery drain issue on my iPhone 11 after repair

Subject: Issue with Battery After Repair

Message:

Dear Apple Support,

I recently had my iPhone repaired at a local service provider. However, after the repair, I noticed that the battery drains very quickly. When I contacted the service provider, they mentioned that the battery might have been damaged during the repair process, and they said it is impossible to restore it to its original condition.

Could you please assist me in understanding if this issue is related to the repair process and whether there is any solution or compensation available for the battery damage?

  • What shows for your Maximum Capacity at Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging?
  • Have you replaced your Battery yet and was it purchased new? An iPhone 11 is likely overdue for a battery replacement.
  • Was the repair done at an Authorized Service Provider and what was repaired? Apple offers free diagnostics and also warranty on a repair.

Dear Apple Support

You have posted to a user to user site. We are all users here.....just like you. Apple is not here. They will not see your post or reply.

If you want to speak with Apple, you will need to do so here: Support

But, your best bet.....if possible.....would be to make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar and take the phone in to them for testing.

As other users......just like you......we can offer some opinions.....but since we cannot test your phone ourselves, our input may be of limited value. Things tend to be more guesswork than anything else in situations like this.

Could a battery be damaged during a repair? Not likely. Damaged batteries tend to not work at all.

If the iPhone 11 is still using the original battery, check to see what the Maximum Capacity of the battery might be at this time. Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging.

I recently had the front and back screens of my iPhone repaired at a service provider. However, after I picked up the phone from the repair shop, I noticed that the battery drains very quickly. The battery health also dropped significantly, with the maximum capacity now at 80%, which was previously higher.

I’m concerned that the repair may have caused some issue with the battery, as the rapid battery drain started right after the repair.

Could you please assist me in understanding if this issue is related to the repair process, and if there are any steps I can take to resolve it?

Thank you for your help

I know, I’m just asking about my issue if it’s normal for the battery to drop significantly after changing the front and back screens, knowing that I went to a regular repair shop because there are no official Apple stores in Algeria. I’m just asking based on your experience if this is normal or not. Also, I asked the technician to give me an original screen. Can you help me figure out how to know if the screen is original
