No one here can tell you the merchant’s policy. You need to contact the merchant and ask about your options and ability to exchange or return the item.

Apple will not accept return or exchange of product purchased from another merchant.

I suggest you should call the store! if they bought it at you/they bought it at the Inspire store located on Annapurna Road the telephone number is 7314000372. If you/they bought it at the Inspire store located at the C-21 mall, the telephone number would be 7312574019. If you can’t contact them directly on the telephone, you can email them at info@ngrt.in . They should be able to refund the purchase of the phone with the receipt, since you/they bought it 6 days ago.

You could also do an apple credit exchange, where you get credit on the phone you want to purchase by trading in your old one. This should be your last resort because you will get less for the phone.

Here in the US, if you buy directly from Apple, you have 14 days to return your purchase and buy whatever else you want. As you bought this in India, you'll need to check with the store you bought it from to see what they're return policy is.

Apple's return policy varies by country, based on local rules and regulations, so I can't tell you with absolute certainty, but at the very least, you'll need to take it back to the store with the original receipt.

If it hasn't been long, and as long as the phone is in good condition you may be OK, but you don't say what 'recently' is... days? weeks? months?

Apple does not allow trade ins for credit on current model phones.
