How do I remove a restored Time Machine backup from my new desktop?

I broke my old Mac's screen and got a new one (aka the one I'm typing on and trying to resolve an issue for right now). I've backed data on my old Mac two weeks ago on a LaCie Rugged SSD via Time Machine.

So what I tried to did was I restored a copy of that backing and chose a location on my new Mac, i.e. desktop. It shows up on my desktop (it's called "Data") but what has happened now is I want to remove this restored version because I don't actually need some of things in it.

Let me show you what I mean.

Forgive me if my explanation or question doesn't make sense, I barely even know what's up and don't know any technical terms to pinpoint the problem... I mean if I did, I probably wouldn't be here, lol.

Cheers!

The screenshots you've included appear to be of a normal startup disk for the Mac. They include the protected system volume named "Macintosh HD" and the user volume "Data". Normally this volume would be named "Macintosh HD - Data", but that's not critical.

The Data volume is likely what you are seeing on the desktop. There is no way to remove it other than to erase the drive and all information on it and reinstall macOS, either from recovery mode or from a Time Machine backup.

If there are things on that volume that you no longer need, feel free to simply delete them from any Finder window.

Also, feel free to rename that data volume. I recommend you revert the name to "Macintosh HD - Data"
