Can't see text of a sent iMessage on iPhone

"Can't see text of a sent iMessage on iPhone: I am trying to understand what happened to a message that I sent to two cell phones of colleagues. [...]If I failed to send the message, I do not think I should have a message identified as the recipients in my message list. If I accidentally deleted the text before clicking send and thus sent a blank message, should not I see a bubble without text? [...]And since I was asking these people for a favor, I am reluctant to keep messaging them with the same message, so I'd like to understand what was sent."

Blank Sent Message:

Perhaps it was sent twice? Look in your Recently Deleted folder in the Messages app, and see if resides in there. If so, then you sent it twice, and wrong one was sent. So, send it again; I'm sure they would not mind. If you mist says somethings, the say at the begging of the message: "I am not certain if you received this message. So, just incase, I am seeing it, once more."

History of Sent Messages:

Logging into my Carrier's site, I can see my messages going unto 90 days back --so, see if you can see the same.

"I have checked recently deleted, not there, and can't find anything on my AT&T account site. To be fair, I can find very little on their site, period."

Then, they're gone from the thread, or they were not sent. Why at the top of the thread? A draft perhaps?
